The offer is reserved for professionals, businesses and organisations. Prices exclude VAT: 22% Italian VAT is added to the subscription. No lock-in: change plan or cancel whenever you want, and when you move up you only pay the difference for the remaining days. A sale is never blocked by your plan limits. During the fourteen day trial you publish, invite, let people listen and can already sell through your own Stripe account, at the Starter fee.

The commission

How it is calculated

On top of the subscription we keep a commission on what you sell with Fonaria: 10% on Starter, 7% on Pro, 5% on Scale. The calculator below tells you which plan suits your sales.

It only applies to what you sell here

If you sell elsewhere and use Fonaria only to deliver your content, there is no commission. You pay the subscription and that is it.

Below 5% we do not go

The 5% on Scale is the floor, and it applies to everyone. There are no reserved percentages, private deals or sales thresholds that change the terms.

Stripe fees are a separate thing

Stripe keeps its own cut on the payment (around 1.5% plus 25 cents on European cards). That applies to us as to anyone, and it does not pass through us.

It is worked out on money you have already collected.

Pricing questions

Before you choose a plan

Do I need a VAT number?
Yes: Fonaria is reserved for professionals, businesses and organisations. When you sign up you declare whether you are a business holding a VAT number or an organisation with a tax code, and when you buy a plan we ask for the VAT number or the organisation's tax code. The service is not intended for consumers.
Why a subscription plus a commission, instead of a single price?
Because we chose to ask little from people who are starting. A Starter subscription of 19 € a month + VAT is bearable even before you have sold anything, and the variable part you pay once the money has landed in your account. A single price high enough to cover everything would be paid in full even by someone still preparing their first episode. The calculator above shows what that means at your volume, and which plan actually suits you.
Does the commission apply to everything I earn?
No. Only to what you sell through Fonaria. If you sell on another platform and use Fonaria to deliver your content, you only pay the subscription.
Who issues the invoice to my customers?
You do, because you are the seller: the money lands in your Stripe account and the commercial relationship is between you and your customer. What we do is the work around it, which is the part that eats time: we ask your customer for their tax code, VAT number, recipient code or certified email and address inside the checkout, validate them as they type and hand them to you next to the amount paid (VAT is yours to apply when you issue the document). Without us you would be chasing that data after the sale, when the customer no longer replies.
How does VAT work?
Plan prices exclude VAT: 22% VAT is added at checkout. On your sales the customer can ask for an invoice, and either way we collect the details you need for the right tax document.
Can I change plan or cancel whenever I want?
Yes, with no minimum term. Moving up you only pay the difference for the remaining days, moving down the new plan starts at renewal. If you cancel, your listeners' feeds stay alive for ninety days and you export everything in that time.
What happens if I go over the plan limits?
A sale is never blocked by a limit, so you cannot go over by selling. Limits are about free subscribers, podcasts and storage: when you get close we tell you, and what you have already created keeps working.
Is there a refund if I change my mind?
The trial is fourteen days without a card, so there is no risk of paying by accident. If you pay and realise within a few days that it is not for you, write to us and we will sort it out.
Can the price change?
If the list price changes we tell you at least thirty days ahead and the new price applies from the next renewal. If it does not suit you, cancel with no penalty.
